It is actually a very interesting album. I am not sure how I really feel about it. It is considered R&B/Soul: Pop. Each song has a different feel to it. I really like "To be loved" the best. I do recommend her to those that like the R&B/Soul music!

This guy has an amazing voice that just seems to float from the speakers like wings on a bird. Just amazing. I really like his style. The song "Home" is simply great. The music is magical and will keep you humming along with the great deep lyrics.

Born and raised in New Jersey, I have been writing songs since I was 16 years old. In January 2012, I attended the Contemporary Music Center in Nashville, TN. Surrounded by 27 other incredibly talented artists, businessmen/women, producers, and engineers, I began to delve into writing like I never had before. While living in Nashville, I pushed myself to write honestly, to sing truthfully, and to develop a voice that was authentic to the songs that resounded so deep within me. I took a real, honest look at the condition of my soul, finally accepted it for what it was, and started writing. I believe that these are the most honest five songs that have ever resided within me. These songs in some ways act as prophets reminding me of my past and guiding me into my future. They show me that life is valuable and fragile. They teach me that love is painful yet worthwhile. And most importantly, they remind me that within my fallen humanity, beauty is still found there. This is my "History." For fans of Adele, Brooke Fraser, The Civil Wars

What I Say About Them

What more can I say about this Bronx group but they captured my attention from the first note and stole my heart. I really like "I love thee". So interesting. At first I was not sure but the more the songs played the more I was captivated by the lyrics and the music. They has such a cool twist to their music, sometimes sounding like an old recording from the 40's and sometimes very modern.

What I Say About Them

Okay I am going to be honest. Some songs I could take and some I could leave. I am a big fan of The Swell Season, The Civil Wars, She & Him, Sara Groves & Mat Kearney, Derek Webb & Sandra McCracken (which is who they say this download would be for) but I am not sure some of those songs would fit into my fandom. I have heard some other things by Jenny & Tyler and absolutely loved them. Maybe it's just the mood that I am in today. Hummmmmm
Now don't get me wrong, they are an amazing group, but this album should be placed into the Christian/Gospel/Acoustic genre. The songs are all about their beautiful journey and faith. I will have to listen again when I am in a better mood. :P

Initially released in April of 2012, Open Your Doors acts as a follow up to Faint Not (2010). Recorded at Sputnik Sound with producer extraordinaire Mitch Dane, Open Your Doors combines the organic nature of Jenny & Tyler's live show with the professionalism of a studio album.

Thematically, the record is meant to chronicle Jenny & Tyler's struggle to find rest, both physically and spiritually. The record explores the tension between striving and abiding, ultimately landing in a place of rest and peace.

The duo decided to release three brand new acoustic tracks in anticipation of their upcoming Love Songs EP. The songs were recorded live in Nashville, To The Sea and The Past Don't Own Us Anymore at Welcome to 1979 Studios and When I Meet You at Apple Cottage.

This is the first time I have heard of Stars. I really like them. I wish that the download had more of them in it. The download consist of two Stars tracks out of the six tracks offered in this pack. The other 4 are from their openers on the tour: Milo Greene (interesting sound, worth listening to), Cold Specks (not really my kind of music), Yukon Blonde (heavy rock influence...I like it!) and Said the Whale (It's a remix...I am very interested to listen to what the original sounds like. I really love the remix!). Okay sooooo I say go get it and then look for the others on iTunes!!

It is an interesting mix of raw live music. The website says it is for fans of Jesus Culture and Passion and that is true. With it's driving guitar heavy lics to the deep lyrics it will set the mood for true worship. I give it a good thumbs up. Well worth the download.

I remember when He began to teach us about the “battle” that we are in to display His glory. Or how in the midst of all of the trials, or the comfort, or whatever life may bring, our hearts cry is to “see Jesus”. I remember learning about true “delight” in Him, and how through that delight, my desires and “hopes” began to change radically. This is our journey. And it certainly doesn’t stop here, but I’m so grateful to the Lord to be able to say, we have chapter 1 of our journey recorded through song. This is our ebenezer, our stone of remembrance, and we will never forget what the Lord has done.
